9. My kodak moments at #PRAXIS 8
This year, I got the opportunity to participate as a volunteer in the largest PR summit of the world: PRAXIS 2019. The 8th edition of this event was held in Goa and was attended by various stakeholders. As part of the core team, the students of the School of Communications and Reputations, Mumbai, were divided into four teams which were in charge of various tasks: the registration desk, the content team, the social media team and the logistics team.
As the unofficial photographer for the event, I believe, I had the most fun among all my classmates. I had done event photography in the past, including conferences and conclaves. Hence, I had a fare idea as to what my friends and my faculty were expecting out of me. Needless to say, I was excited!
So how did my days begin at Praxis? Just like the other teams. I made sure I reached the venue a little early to click a few pictures before the event. I got to see how each of the team’s were preparing for the biggest PR Conclave in India, and capturing these emotions with my camera was priceless.
Probably the best part of my duty was witnessing PR professionals from around the world meet their colleagues as soon as they arrived at the venue. The sheer joy on their faces, the priceless smiles as they hugged their friends was heart-warming.
Throughout the event I clicked several photographs of friends and colleagues reuniting on this common platform.
As a one woman army, I was responsible for clicking as many photographs as I could, both of my friends as well as the professionals. As I ran around the venue to get the best shots, I also got the opportunity to meet many delegates and attendees and ended up having brief conversations with them. As the unofficial photographer, I also got the opportunity to click a few photographs of The Local Train. The experience was truly memorable.
In conclusion, I would like to thank SCoRe for giving me the opportunity to participate in the biggest PR conclave of the world. Volunteering in the event is one thing, but when you volunteer for something which is also your passion, the experience is magical.
